I beat the original version of rogue (one of the originals, 5.1 or something like that) about a year ago, and afterwards went around saying that I needed a shirt that said "I found the Amulet of Yendor and all I got was this lousy T-shirt." Someone, maybe T, maybe Chris, kept saying that I should wear it to a con. Pretty sure it was Chris. I believe my answer was "what do I need with a swarm of 50-something fanboys?"

Never played nethack or any version of the game younger than me... or at least, younger than my little sister. It's possible the version I was playing was from '82.
