I didn't know this little city had so many police cars, let alone on-duty officers at this hour of the night. They're having a little convention, complete with flashing lights and the like, on my street.

I noticed it when I heard the sounds of a struggle coming from outside, and what sounded like a man shouting for help. I jumped up and ran to the window, and saw two police officers in the process of arresting a man, who seemed to be struggling and calling for help. It's night, and I missed the beginning, but...suffice it to say that I'm a bit dubious of his shouted claims that he hadn't been resisting arrest.

Then a total of six or eight more cars (in addition to the original two) arrived, and an ambulance. The person who was arrested was eventually taken away in the ambulance, and it sounds like the police people are still out there doing whatever it is they do.

I'm not entirely sure what I think about all this.
