Sunday night I opened a gift given to me years ago by Jhadania and started playing with The Stone. I thanked her profusely when she gave it to me and then refused to open the box, because I knew it was going to take up a lot of my time, and I was in the middle of classes at the time. I've been playing more or less constantly since then except when I was asleep. For those who don't know what it is, it's an excellent puzzle game, and you should check out the demo at the website. For those who do, I've solved 22 puzzles and have 9 discovered but unsolved.
Tonight I finally decided to get off my butt and get my laptop working again. It took me an hour or two, and I think all is good now. It still has the little power supply and battery problem, but it's working again. I've really missed having it available.
Sunday I had dinner with Evanaletha and Druenarrii. Delicious Indian, and I got to try phaal, which was wonderfully and insanely spicy, with a nice flavor. My only complaint was that Drue and I went into that mode that people who share obscure interests sometimes go into when they're together and I didn't really get to talk to Eva as much as I'd hoped; as seeing her again was most of the point of my going down there. They had been working on a Stone puzzle when I arrived, which takes me back to the beginning.

Next time...
just a thought.
