Yeesh. I've just removed about 4 cu. ft. of paper from my apartment for recycling, and a good cu. ft. of other garbage! Frighteningly, there's still a good deal to go.
With a bit of luck and a lot more perseverance, I may actually accomplish my goal of having more of a floor than just paths between key locations in the room. I think this might be a nice change from the usual state of my room. It may require that I come up with more shelving, though, there are a lot of books and papers and electronics in here.
I also pulled the air conditioner out of the window yesterday. I'm hoping it'll let me get more of a breeze with fresh air through here as the weather warms up. The A/C is obnoxiously noisy, and not that effective, so I rarely used it even when I wanted to. Hopefully I can make it through the summer on fans this time. If not, at least I'll have been able to enjoy the spring better.
Oh, for the record, this floor has seen a vacuum cleaner before. It's somewhat overdue for another visit, though.
