I've been kicking around in my head the idea of having an NSO alumni reunion dinner during Noncon, either Friday or Saturday night (ETA: That's March 3 or March 4). I'm guessing the latter, but...question time.

Would you be interested?
Which night is better? Is there a night you wouldn't be able to make it?

I'm thinking Saigon Cafe, for nostalgia reasons, but I'm open to alternatives.
I'm assuming any alums, their guests, and possibly also anybody who was an honorary member when the alums were still students would be welcome.

Any other thoughts?

Uh, you got dates on that? Some of us are not so plugged in that we have a reference for when Noncon might be. Aside from believing that given historical precedent I should just look for the least convenient weekend and assume it's there...

I could make it for the 3rd, but not the 4th.

I'm afraid I'll be running events at a different con (ProCon) that weekend. :( Of course, I have been lame and have not made it to NonCon in 3 or 4 years now, so me not making it this year shouldn't be a huge surprise.

Count me in. Technically Friday night is better for me, since I am supposed to be back in CT for Sunday morning, but in all likelyhood I'll beg out of that obligation and stay for the whole weekend anyway.

We have quite the hellish time here getting space reservations for a weekend. There are only a couple of us with the diplomatic and bureaucratic skills to do it and we take what we can get.

So, this year the choice of weekend was entirely decided by Model UN cancelling their reservation and us grabbing it.

the 3rd is better for me, because the metropolitones have their 1st CD release show on the 4th. That is assuming I can get out of work in time to get up there. I no longer have a car, so I'd be doing the public transport thing.
