That's the incredibly unhelpful advice a certain professor gave me many years ago when I came to him expressing that I was having difficulty making headway in an assignment which was a significant portion of my grade for his course, and in which other students were involved. I eventually opted to "get off the pot".

I guess the theory can work for me sometimes, though. I set myself a deadline of start of business day this morning to get some work done that I've been kind of stalling on for longer than I care to think about, or take drastic action. It's now done.

I think Lunacon helped, too. Although I fell down and slept for many hours immediately upon return from the convention, I think the trip was energizing. Not only while I was there, as always for conventions, but I also came out of it feeling more able to deal with the things I need to deal with to move forward in my life. Hopefully this will translate into continued positive energy to get things done.
