Argh! My company, gmail, and Yahoo!Groups have conspired to embarrass me. I sent at least two emails which should have been off-list follow-ups to a mailing list instead yesterday. I blame:

Yahoo! for overriding Reply-To: with the list address (this has become common behavior because most mail software doesn't have appropriate controls)

Google for not providing appropriate controls to be able to choose whether to reply to the sender or follow-up to the list in a straightforward fashion.

My company, for blocking all outgoing traffic other than ports 80 and 443, preventing me connecting to my home computer via ssh and using the mailer I'm accustomed to (mutt), a situation which forces me to use the GMail webmail or be unable to check my mail at all.
