Last time, I forgot to mention that part of the idea here is to have Harry and the Potters perform live music at the event. The good news is that they're interested. The bad news is that they plan to be reading some book that evening. New current thinking is sometime in November, between Hallowe'en and Yule.

Thanks to everybody who expressed interest last week. Same question: would you be likely to come if it were sometime in November? It seems less likely to be tied to any event except "the band and the organizers had the weekend free".

Everything will be different after the book comes out, and none of us know how yet, but yes, people will want to keep the magic going. I have friends in Boston I can stay with (and bring to such things), so I'm always game.

Yes, though there are potentially more scheduling difficulties (school), which I won't know until late August.

Ohman, if it's in Boston, I am *SO* interested. Even if I suck at the dancings. *grin*

Answer's the same as originally: I'd love to be there, assuming work doesn't need me here that particular weekend.

Oh yes, quite likely to come -- less likelihood of work conflict, plus more time to figure out how to approximate dress robes.

There's an small shop in California that is offering a free wand with every one of the new HP books ordered -- I was dithering along the lines of "but what on earth would I do with a wand?", but perhaps "carry it to this event" is the answer.
