I discovered a new feature on Dreamwidth yesterday that I think is pretty cool. When a user messes up the tags in their post [usually by typoing an angle bracket, in my experience], there's that "Invalid markup . . . unrecoverable . . . raw data below" thing.

Dreamwidth hides that all behind a cut so it doesn't spew all over your reading list, but you can still click to try to read the entry through the raw.

This is just another entry about how Dreamwidth's active development is going toward making nice features that improve user experience. I really appreciate that.

Did you by any chance discover that feature as a result a post by me? Because I, too, discovered that feature of dreamwidth yesterday, after superficially looking over my dw post, not seeing anything wrong (because the broken link was near the of the post), and then noticing over on lj that it was a terrible hot mess.

I did indeed. I thought going out of my way to point to your error would be in poor taste, though.

It's a cool feature, though I can see how adjusting to it will take some work, as you describe.
