E-mail worms annoy me. I got one from someone in one of my classes. This one was kind of cute - it used one of the e-mail addresses in the address book of the infected person as the From: address of the e-mail carrying the worm. I had to go into the headers to figure out who it actually came from.
What really irritates me is silly tech support. I sent an e-mail to my school's virus account warning them it was going around, and offering to forward them the infected e-mail if they'd like. I made a point of mentioning in the e-mail that I wasn't worried about being infected, because my laptop uses Linux. Their response reads: Thank you for the information. Make sure that your virus definitions are up to date.

Why does that irritate you so much? (Meant curiously, not antagonistically.)
Silly Marc-man
Honestly, the stupid users need to have their pretty 'puters taken away from them and given to people who can better appreciate such things . . . like me! *g*
Hope the auto response didn't piss you off too much.
Re: Silly Marc-man
The auto-response was just irritating because I wasn't thinking about it as an autoresponder (it took a really long time to get back), the information was completely useless - there's nothing on that page that I can use, and it was irrelevant to what I'd said (it neither answered my question, nor accounted for what I'd said about my situation)
I guess I just don't like automatic responses which aren't both clearly automatic, and laid out such that they provide useful information.
