I haven't posted in a while, because when I've been around, I haven't had anything to say, and when I've had something to say, I haven't been around. Or something inconvenient like that.
The job hunt goes poorly, largely because I'm too easily distracted from it, but I'm hanging in there.
Other than the usual distractions of friends, I've been largely occupied by The Stone, and BrettspielWelt (The World of Boardgames). These links provided for anybody to whom I've babbled about either and not given a link.
On the slightly more productive side, I made a notebook this weekend. The last notebook I bought for the purpose of shoving in my back pocket so I could always have an opportunity to jot things down disintegrated completely (having been made with glue but not bound), and I've been complaining about it since about a month after I bought it when it first started falling apart. I haven't seen one in an appropriate size that was of a decent quality, so I decided to go ahead and bind my own. I took some decent (50% Cotton, 75g) paper I picked up when the bookstore was having a sale, and cut it into 3 A6 sheets per sheet, bound it, trimmed it even, and made a cover from black poster board. I now have a 128p. A7 pocket notebook which, with any luck, should hold together until I've filled it. I may need to replace the cover at some point, but I expect the binding to hold.
Need to keep being at least semi-productive.

Firstly, plastic cover. Secondly, wrap the cardboard back page in duct tape.
