As some of my readers know, I recently picked up a copy of Final Fantasy Chronicles, which includes the full version of Final Fantasy IV (in what I've been led to believe, and seems to me to be, un-easified form).
I just beat Wyvern (known to players of Final Fantasy II as NeoBahamut) and obtained Ragnarok (known to players of FF II as the Crystal Sword) -- on the first try! And, for that matter, without first obtaining the White Lance (or whatever it's called in this version), the Masamune, or any of the other really good stuff deeper in the Moon than the path to said sword.

Got a pink tail after <20 puff fights, though, luckily. They're pretty tedious too. Is it possible to get 5 adamant armors? (That stuff is incredibly good. Almost ludicrously so.)

Dunno if you can have multiple sets of the eq.
5 armors?
My tedious masterpiece was teaching Rydia fire1 last of the fire spells. If you remember there is a lock on learning fire1 until you reach the ice barrier. However there is no lock on fire2 and fire3, you can learn them normally. So, I racked. This lead to all the new characters being at high levels when they came in. I ended up getting meteo for Porom at level 50. That was a surprise.

Re: 5 armors?
Answer: Yes, you can get more than one Adamant Armor. With two, I should be able to keep Rydia and Edge alive, which will make certain other fights much less annoying. *grin*
I've been fighting the puffs with the "Hold down X in one hand, while reading webcomics, navigating with the other hand" method. I look up when I hear the "you won" music to see if I got anything.
