As some of my readers know, I recently picked up a copy of Final Fantasy Chronicles, which includes the full version of Final Fantasy IV (in what I've been led to believe, and seems to me to be, un-easified form).

I just beat Wyvern (known to players of Final Fantasy II as NeoBahamut) and obtained Ragnarok (known to players of FF II as the Crystal Sword) -- on the first try! And, for that matter, without first obtaining the White Lance (or whatever it's called in this version), the Masamune, or any of the other really good stuff deeper in the Moon than the path to said sword.

*grins* those fights are quite tedious. Great xp/gold, though, so they've become my fav way to make cash for assorted Throw weapons..

Dunno if you can have multiple sets of the eq.

Damn! I never thought to try that. I quit after one.

My tedious masterpiece was teaching Rydia fire1 last of the fire spells. If you remember there is a lock on learning fire1 until you reach the ice barrier. However there is no lock on fire2 and fire3, you can learn them normally. So, I racked. This lead to all the new characters being at high levels when they came in. I ended up getting meteo for Porom at level 50. That was a surprise.
