Lots of great programming, now all in one building! Check the website for some of what we're running, schedule should be available in a few days.

Also, the NSO server is back up and running! NSOers are encouraged to get involved in conversation on the NSO BBS (available via telnet or web to nso.vassar.edu), and compete in some online games. It's also a great way to keep in touch during break, and for our farther-away honorary members to stay in touch.

My understanding of this issue may be off, but what I was told was that the Mac OS X telnet client refuses to connect to a host unless it can establish a Kerberos authentication. This behavior can be suppressed with the -K switch (capital K)

Try:

% telnet -K nso.vassar.edu

In other words, the naming of that program makes me (and, I'm sure, the geek(s) who created the program) quite happy. :)
