My grandmother winters in Florida, has for years now. She usually hires a service to bring her car down. This year, she asked if I wanted to do it for her instead. I'm probably going to.

Am now starting to work on planning out exactly how I'm going to do this. I probably have a car companion for the trip down. If anybody between Connecticut and Florida wants to try to meet for a meal as we go by, or, even better, wants to offer one to two twenty-something guys a floor to sleep on for the night, that'd be cool.

My tentative plan for the return trip involves flying to DC, meeting up with some friends in that area, then probably taking Amtrak the rest of the way. I need to make Arisia by the end of January, but I'm contemplating taking my time on the trip back to visit with people. Anybody between DC and Boston who wants to have a Marc visit for a couple days, let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I'm very open to suggestions of how I can make this work better, or other ways to vary the plan...

DUDE!

If you are going to be in the Tallahassee area, you BETTER plan on stopping by! I may not be able to take you out somewhere, but my floor is yours, and I'll cook. ;)

I'd volunteer my pull-out couch... But somehow I don't think you'll be ready to sleep by the time you hit Brooklyn. But hey, there's the offer, just in case :)

don't know when you will be passing through this way, but I'm in CT from now until probably Jan. 16th, and will be down here again around the 29th-30th. i'm sure my folks wouldn't mind putting you up for the night, and since i've been largely housebound surrounded by too many games and too few players, let's just say i would be glad of the company.
