Autumn

First apple of the season. It's still a little early for Macouns; tasting it, I probably should have gone with the Empires or Cortlandts instead. Ah well, so it's not perfect, that just means that I have better ones to look forward to in a week or two.

I love October.

I miss seasons. I might be less upset about it come wintertime and snow, but it's a hard trade-off for autumn.

There used to be an orchard that had about 10 trees of em in addition to everything else, but it's no longer one of the ones they allow you to pick.

and they're my fav to cook.

Damn fine for eating too, as long as you like tart and crunchy.

I liked the macouns I picked up yesterday, though I think the pears I got were better. Apple season is nice, though.
