I'm moving to Boston, where I'll be living with my friends
mosephine and
gaiaturtle along with a third person I haven't met. I move in on 1 September. Fortunately (for convenience, unfortunately for the wallet), I have until the end of September to move out of my apartment in Poughkeepsie.
Now that the housing thing is taken care of, it's time to move on to the income thing. Brushed up the resume (updated the address, mostly) then posted it to Monster last night, and have already gotten a couple of nibbles, although I'm not sure how serious they are. If anybody has any leads for software development in the Boston area, I'd love to hear about them.
Also, connections. I don't know that many people up that way. More gamers and fen to meet up with would be welcome. I feel like the circle of people I'm going to meet by spending time with my Vassar friends is missing something.
Sorry to all my friends in Washington, DC and New York that I won't be living near you. I'll try to visit on occasion.

I haven't been great about visiting people in Boston, but Providence is close. Maybe another friendly face up there will cause me to visit more often.
