About a month ago I bought some nifty kitchen gear from Amazon. I think I mentioned the cast iron pan, but failed to mention the KitchenAid Immersion Blender. [livejournal.com profile] shield_toad111 came to visit this weekend and gave me an excuse to play with it. I believe the words "turned stawberries into juice in a matter of seconds" are a good description. That was fun.

I mention this for two reasons. One, because I had fun with my new toy. Two, because Amazon has them on sale again today, this time at $25. KitchenAid's $5 rebate is still good (and they were very good and prompt about sending out the rebate check...I think I got it within three weeks). Just in case anybody out there is inteested...

One warning: the photographs are a bit misleading...this model is wired only. It's still a *good* $70 blender for $20.

Actually, I had no idea, until now.  I myself only recently came to know the wonder that is A.B., since it's been only in the past year that I've had FoodNetwork available to me.
