Goals

I'm hoping to get more about Newport up eventually. Once the balls started, it was a lot harder to find time at the computer, and when I had a bit I didn't really feel up to attempting to compose my thoughts. There are things I'd like to get down so I can look at them next year, though.

In the meantime, I have some goals for the next year with regard to dance and dance events. I'm writing them here so I can hold myself accountable:

• Make a Regency evening dress waistcoat and cravat by October Assembly to improve the extent to which I look the part.
• Miss no dance at the Assembly excepting that I am working during it.
• By the end of next Newport, have at least one Vintage Ball at which I miss no more than one dance during each half of the ball.
• By the beginning of next Newport, refine my wardrobe and knowledge of historical attire so I can dress appropriately for each of the three balls.

So, wanted to make sure you knew about that party that I'd mentioned at Origins, which has since mutated into brunchiness.
