Survived the Flood

I'm at an Internet cafe in Prague. I made my family let me sign on so I could post this.
I was worried that some of my friends might have heard the news of the flooding. Prague is having the worst flood in history (which may or may not be the delayed centennial flood), and I hear from the news that it's been bad elsewhere in Central Europe as well. It sounded big enough that word might have gotten back to the States.
We're all fine. We were staying in a hotel up on the hill away from the river, so there hasn't been too much inconvenience, other than lots of bridges and shops and everything being closed. We leave tonight, hopefully, on a train for Slovakia.

Glad you're doing well and the floods not causing you too much trouble.

I was watching these reports (for all the obvious reasons) and was so glad when they said the old part of town was safe. It's so pretty there.

Well, it's on the front page of the Times, but that's just a tabloid nowadays so I didn't know whether to beleive it...
