Sign that I'm not a stereotypical bachelor: It occurred to me to make a vegetable to go with my dinner.

Sign that I am a stereotypical bachelor: . . . as I plated it.

...plated?

Definition?

Also, HI! *hugs and runs off, because she is several different kinds of hyper right now!*

It may be that I'm more of a stereotypical bachelor than you are.

...Because it took me a while to conceive of the sort of dinner where that wouldn't be the cue to throw some frozen peas or broccoli into the microwave with the rest of the things on the plate. =D

I think the whole idea of plating loses you some bachelor points too, though. It assumes containers of foodmaking that you do not eat off of directly, which in turn imply significant food preparation and that bane of the true bachelor, extra dishes.

But yes, you have me with the vegetables. Dinner isn't really dinner without something green in it.

Still... does it count as realization-during-plating when you discover that you have foolishly poured the water from the pasta without first adding the peas, and so throw some frozen peas onto the plate under the noodles in the hope that they will thaw by the time the (straight out of the jar in the fridge) tomato sauce gets there?

I think it does.

You used a plate. There are levels of bachelor that you have yet to hit. *hugs*
